EAUR Crowned 2025 RBL Division 2 Champions After 3-1 Series Win Over Inspired Generation [Photos].

East Africa University Rwanda (EAUR) was crowned the 2025 Rwanda Basketball League (RBL) Division 2 champion after defeating Inspired Generation 81-58 in Game 4, sealing the best-of-five finals series 3-1 and capping off a successful season.

EAUR held off Inspired Generation’s hopes of forcing a decisive Game 5, finishing the series in style on July 30 at Petit Stade.

Led by standout performances from Ben Ruben Cyiza Ndayishimiye (23 points), Muhire Mugabo (20 points), and Fabrice Tuyizere (12 points), the Remera-based campus overcame the inside dominance of Nicolas Oyono and Samuel Asiribo.

Oyono posted 27 points and 13 rebounds, while Asiribo added 11 points and 14 boards.

Despite a strong frontcourt, Inspired Generation lacked depth with zero bench points, as Janvier Kamanzi’s athletic and balanced EAUR side dominated the series.

This well-deserved victory not only clinched the Division 2 title for EAUR but also capped a historic season in which they also won the Heroes Tournament — their first-ever trophy.

Both EAUR and Inspired Generation earned promotion to Division 1 next season, pending licensing approval.
