APR BBC beat REG BBC 81–77 in Game 4 of the Rwanda Basketball League Playoff Finals and is now one win away from securing a third consecutive league title.
On July 9 at BK Arena, APR beat REG to lead the Finals 3-1 and move closer to 2025 league title.
The defending champions trailed by 16 points in the first quarter (9-25) but rallied to cut the deficit to just two at halftime (40-42).
The Army team dominated the third quarter 25-10 to head into the final period with an eight-point cushion. REG attempted a late comeback with a 25-16 run in the fourth, but ultimately fell short, losing 81-77—their second straight defeat in the best-of-seven series.
REG’s Gamine Kande led all scorers with 28 points, while APR’s Adonis Filer posted a team-high 21 points against his former club.
Senegalese international Youssoupha Ndoye added a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
Game 5 is scheduled for Friday, July 11, at BK Arena. A win would hand APR their 16th league title—extending their record—and complete a three-peat.
